牛與孫中山

Sun Yat-sen

The bust of Dr. Sun Yat-sen is a molded sculpture: the mold is regarded as the subjective appeal of the work to probe into the corresponding relationship between positivity and negativity within sculptural space. I consider the distance at which the image in relatively dim and ambiguous space may trigger reinterpretation. Also, the LED light in front of the sculpture and the constantly swinging object create visual confusion and display the hypnotic effect of a pendulum, enhancing the anxiety for the bust on the platform, while also urging the audience to perceive the tension between the works.
